Unless a specific application is listed with a scholarship description, please use the ARCF application for EACH scholarship you wish to apply for.


Barbara Golenda Forsberg Scholarship

A scholarship will be given to a graduate of Munising, Superior Central, or Burt Township Schools pursuing a higher degree in arts, education, or music. Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, good attendance, and a history of community involvement. Students must submit a completed Forsberg Scholarship application and as essay of 300-500 words that includes insights about why they chose their field of study.


Eric & Danielle Beverly Scholarship Fund

Two scholarships will be given- one to a Munising High School and one to an Alger County student-athlete graduate planning to pursue further education in a medically-related field. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.75, have earned a varsity letter, and have demonstrated excellence by their outstanding community service activities.


Kiwanis Club of Alger County

Two scholarships will be given to Alger County High School graduates. Awards are based on:

  • Participation in community service/involvement (weighted 50%)
  • Participation in athletic programs (weighted 35%)
  • Academic achievements (weighted 15%)

Simonen Scholarship

A scholarship will be given to a graduate of any Alger County high school or a resident of Alger County that is seeking an opportunity to pursue higher education.


Frank & Mary Hausler Scholarship Fund

Applicants must be planning to pursue educational advancement in medicine, law, dentistry, engineering or the priesthood.


Munising Senior Center Scholarship

Two annual scholarships given to graduates of Munising High School or Munising Baptist School who plan to pursue a career and technical educational [CTE] degree. 


Michael G. Lindquist, PhD Scholarship

A scholarship will be given to a graduate of any Alger County high school planning to pursue a degree in engineering, chemistry, math, or physics. Academic excellence coupled with financial need are prime considerations.
